🔥Most people don’t know they have muscle imbalance 🔥Most people don’t know they have muscle imbalances so they go unrecognized & can be the reason you get injured while exercising or with life activities

We blame age or genetics, a “bad back” or “bad knees” when really, you just haven’t made the right adjustments to your workouts to correct these underlying imbalances

Exercise requires a more intentional approach to functional training vs. just lifting, cardio or other repetitive motion workouts

I used to believe my injuries were just bad luck…

After 15+ years as a competitive gymnast & then switching to heavy lifting, I was always dealing with some sort of injury: shoulders, back, ankles, chronic pain

🔥Once I started changing my training style, incorporating unilateral & functional movements, I began to train to correct imbalances, which healed old injuries & prevented new ones 

🙌🏻It’s amazing that now after age 40 I have more mobility & less injuries than when I was 20

👉🏻Unilateral movements are exercises that focus on only one side of the body at a time which help point out your imbalances from right to left & also stress the core

For example, if you’re only doing two legged squats, one leg might carry a lot more of the load without you realizing it

Most workouts, classes and programs don’t address mobility or correcting imbalances in your body so you can stay strong & injury free

👉🏻With unilateral movements, it’s important to start at the appropriate modifications so you don’t cause more harm than good, which we teach inside our membership
